These are my nieces and nephews, and seeing them go and work on other projects with Netflix and Viacom, it's just so awesome. Aladdin published a children's novel, Good Burger 2 Go, as a sequel to the film. The book, written by Steve Holland, featured Ed following a short-changed customer around the globe. On September 23, 2015, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell made a "Good Burger" sketch for a reunion on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On March 5, 2018, Mitchell said there were talks on a Good Burger 2 in the moment. On December 13, 2018, he and Thompson stated they are open for a potential sequel or reboot.

Oh, man, I was shooting "Game Shakers" at that point when they called up to do the Jimmy Fallon sketch. Kenan and I both just had so much fun doing that. A dim-witted teenager and his new coworker try to save the old burger joint they work for from failing after the opening of a brand new burger restaurant across the street, which's planning to put them out of business. Ed and Dexter return to Mondo Burger to expose their crimes to the police. While Dexter creates a distraction, Ed tries to take a can of Triampathol but clumsily knocks another one into the meat grinder. Inspired, he pours another into the grinder.
I think my characters have their own — I almost sound crazy when I say this — but I feel like they have their own life, my characters. And when people see them, it's not even me. They're just like, "Oh, Ed," or "Oh, Coach Kreeton," all these different characters. I love working with a lot of great comedians. It's so fun putting a smile on people's faces and making them laugh. Laughter is medicine, and I love creating characters.

I would definitely say a little bit of both. We understand that we have the fans that grew up with "Good Burger," and now they're adults and we want to cater towards them. Because we have a lot of fun gems and fun moments in there where they'll go, "Oh wow, that happened in Part One!" and so that's fun for us.
I feel like I'm built like that, because I've watched all these great comedians since I was a kid. I'm glad I stayed working out and taking care of myself because my characters have a lot of physical comedy. Even with the Kenan & Kel reboot that we did on SNL, I was ready!
