The satellite speakers appear to be a single driver/speaker. They sound OK, but are just too small to move any amount of air for loud listening levels. Cannot comment on how loudly it goes, havent dare try it. The sub was defective, however and Klipsch never responded to my request for support. After 4 weeks I gave up and exchanged the set.
